In the interview published in the November 2012 issue, conductor Massimiliano Caldi had told us about his strong professional ties with Poland-a bond that continues even stronger, as he has now been appointed Principal Conductor and Artistic Consultant of the Moniuszko Philharmonic in Koszalin, starting with the 2014-15 season. Caldi will also make his operatic debut at Poznan’s Grand Theater with Nabucco (Oct. 10, 12 and 14; revival in February 2015), and in the spring he will take part in the important Beethoven Festival, directed by Elzbieta Penderecki, conducting Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana in concert form (March 24)
